Victoria: Requiem and Duruflé: Requiem. From
Renaissance Spain to twentieth-century France, the Durham Singers present a pair
of sublime requiem masses, both based on medieval plainchant. The beautiful lines
of Victoria's setting contrast with the florid romanticism of Duruflé's.

Durham Singers 40th Anniversary celebration concert. Join the
Durham Singers, and guest performers, for a selection of celebratory music to
mark the choir's 40th anniversary. Marking too the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II,
this festive programme will include music for royal occasions, including Handel's
gorgeous Eternal source of light, with trumpet and mezzo-soprano solos.
Mozart: Requiem. The Durham Singers perform Mozart's
masterpiece, with young soloists from the region. The programme also includes
Mozart's beautiful Divertimento in F, K. 138, and sacred arias for soprano.
